Hotel price and availability alerts for one specific stay

Hotel Pounce can watch for a bookable room and an optional maximum total price at the same time. A match must satisfy the hotel, dates, occupancy, room preferences, and saved price cap before an email is sent.

Quick answer

What is a hotel price and availability alert?

It is a notification rule for a particular hotel stay. Hotel Pounce first checks whether supported partner inventory contains a matching bookable room, then applies your optional maximum total-stay price. This is different from a general destination deal alert or an automatic cancel-and-rebook service.

The matching criteria

CriterionRequired?How it is used
Hotel and datesYesDefines the exact property and stay to check.
Guests and roomsYesTests whether the offer can accommodate the requested occupancy.
Room typeOptionalMatches a selected room type or accepts any returned room.
Maximum priceOptionalApplies to the full stay and all rooms in the alert's saved currency.
1 · Define

Set the total you can book

Enter a maximum for the complete stay, not a vague nightly target. The currency is fixed with the alert.

2 · Monitor

Check availability and price together

Automatic checks typically run about every six hours. You can also request a manual check from the saved alert.

3 · Verify

Email only after a live match

The exact offer is rechecked before email. You still complete checkout with the booking provider.

What this feature does not do

  • It does not compare every hotel in a destination for the cheapest deal.
  • It does not calculate a percentage price drop from a previous search.
  • It does not watch an existing reservation or automatically rebook it.
  • It does not hold a room or guarantee the provider's checkout price.

Inventory limitation

Hotel Pounce checks supported partner inventory. A missing partner rate does not prove that a hotel itself is sold out, and availability can change before you book.

When provider data is unreliable, Hotel Pounce records the result as unknown and does not turn it into an availability or sold-out claim.

Price and availability questions

Is Hotel Pounce a hotel price-drop tracker?

Hotel Pounce can apply a maximum total-stay price to an availability alert. It does not currently track a percentage drop, compare against a previous price, or automatically rebook an existing reservation.

Does the price cap apply per night or to the full stay?

The cap applies to the total stay and all requested rooms, in the currency saved when the alert is created.

Will an available room above my cap trigger an email?

No. A rate must be bookable and at or below the saved maximum total price to qualify for that alert.

Does the alert guarantee the same price at checkout?

No. Hotel Pounce verifies the offer immediately before email, but hotel inventory and pricing can change before the provider completes your booking.
